Midway Media are Midlands based videographers in Derbyshire who specialise in filming weddings and events throughout the year. We are a very friendly and relaxed husband and wife team from Swadlincote, South Derbyshire, conveniently located to film weddings and events across the midlands area in counties such as Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Northants, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire, South Yorkshire, Warwickshire, the West Midlands and Worcestershire. We are able, and often do film weddings and events in locations outside the midlands area, offering nationwide coverage at an affordable price. All that we ask for bookings which are more than a reasonable travelling distance from us is that any additional travel and accommodation expenses we may incur are covered by you at cost.
We use 2 experienced camera operators for all our wedding packages offering stylish multi-angle shots and make use of the latest professional equipment such as our Steadicam Merlin and Glidetrack. The Merlin allows us to capture classy smooth shots over uneven terrain like stairs or inclines, and produces epic scenes with that "floating-in-air" look. The Glidetrack is a portable dolly track system which can be very effective in adding a cinematic look to your video or presentation. Using 2 camera operators allows us to capture so much more than other single camera videography companies at no extra cost.
Our movements throughout your day are carefully planned to ensure that nothing is missed. We offer up to 3 high definition video cameras with high performance RØDE and Sennheiser sound recording equipment to capture every moment in the best possible quality. This is then all put together onto DVD or the medium of your choice using a professional video editing suite. We are able cover many types of weddings including church ceremonies, civil ceremonies, civil partnerships, Jewish, Greek and Asian weddings.
We are both members of the Institute of Videography with Tracey being an Associate Member and Barry currently working his way towards full accreditation. Our filming style will be tailor made to suit your event and the location. For the filming of a wedding we will always do our best to film the day's events in an unobtrusive manner where hopefully you'll hardly even notice us there. We will endeavour to capture all of the day's special moments in a way that cannot be done by still photography alone. A picture can only tell part of the story but a video with sound tells it all.

Some of these moments are impossible to capture with a photograph and we know only too well from our own experience how important it should be for every bride and groom to have an everlasting memory of a truly special day that can at times appear to go by in a blur.
